If you are a member, we encourage you to not only support our sponsors, but to have a go at winning one or more! Ashford Best Entry Award of a 500 voucher, for using more than 50 hand spun fibre. She was a member of Auckland’s first spinning group, taught spinning and provided support to other spinners up until her death at age 90. Fashion Parade Award of a silver tray, 250 and a champion fleece, for an outstanding and innovative entry using 100 black and coloured wool originating from a naturally coloured sheep where white is not considered a colour , 20 of which may be over dyed. Complex Weavers are an international group dedicated to expanding the boundaries of hand weaving.
National Exhibition Award of 200, for fibre art with an emphasis on artistic content, colour and original design. Esmae wants to encourage the application of creative fibre skills to producing works of art for everday use in the home. This award is selected by the three linen trust members from submissions received by the National President, who also gives their opinion. The awards were established to use the money generated over the many years that the Trust was selling linen to members.

Our annual membership fee entitles you to our quarterly magazine, access to our extensive Resource Library, the opportunity to exhibit at our National and Area exhibitions, and to register for our bi annual National Festival.

We would like you to let us know of any activities that may be of interest to others who share a passion for felting
