After graduating from Palmerston North Teachers' College in 1977, he returned to South Taranaki as a teacher. Jonathan returned to New Plymouth in 2008 after leaving Taranaki as a 25 year old, having lived in Tauranga for three years and West Auckland for the last 22. If I was going to ask about equality, I would want to know that everyone is given equal opportunity to succeed in our society. This is substantially driven by opposition to immigration through the open borders policy, member states of the EU have made even more complex by the flood of refugees coming into Europe.
