We have extensive in house training programmes for all of our physiotherapy staff and are well represented at annual conferences and courses to ensure we are up to date on the latest techniques, methods and research. Greg Brien Physiotherapy is located in new purpose built premises on the corner of Henui Street and Devon Street East in Fitzroy, New Plymouth with an onsite rehabilitation gym for client use. Greg graduated from the University of Otago in 1997 and is the director of Greg Brien Physiotherapy Limited. He has over 15 years of experience working in private practice and has been a registered physiotherapy acupuncturist for more than 10 years. After graduating from Auckland University of Technology in 1998 Paul specialised in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy.
With a background in physical education he pursued a career in private practice working both in New Zealand and overseas. Paul has enjoyed working with a range of sports teams from a local to national level and continues to develop his passion for physiotherapy with on going education. Paul’s interest lies in manual therapy, including manipulation and mobilisation of the spine and peripheral joints, along with exercise prescription, massage and acupuncture. Nikaela joined our team in February 2015 after graduating from Otago University in 2014.
Throughout the year she has completed courses in acupuncture dry needling and manipulative therapy. Finn graduated from Auckland University of Technology in 2016 and has started as a new graduate Physiotherapist in January 2017. Finn is currently completing a post graduate Certificate in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy and is expanding his treatment skill set with an upcoming course in Dry Needling
Your physiotherapist will simplify the diagnosis and discuss treatment options. Before treatment is commenced your physiotherapist will carry out a thorough assessment of your condition.
Our experienced team provide physiotherapy treatment for a range of conditions related to injury, mobility and pain. We have a comprehensive list of health service providers with specific expertise to whom we can refer you if appropriate. We foster family members to be give when we are treating children under 16 years of age. You are welcome to bring a friend or family member for promote and or interpretation purposes. Please wear pertinent clothing to permit access to the segment of the body requiring treatment, such as shorts for the treatment of a below limb condition.
